Preparing

The new school year is quickly approaching and we teachers have been preparing for what is to come. This means new bulletin boards, new lesson plans, clean rooms, out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new, and the list goes on. To be honest, this is one of my favorite times of year. I love to be able to look back at the last year and see were my class was and how far they've come. Seeing the process of growth rather than hearing it makes a world of difference. That's part of the reason I started this blog. I hope that each reader experiences the love and pride I do when we can reflect back on this upcoming year.

Like I said, we teachers have been busy and here are a couple of pictures of the room that awaits your child

The top picture is our mailboxes, as a parent you will check those daily for special information. The letters should sound/look familiar....Yes our classroom theme for the year is Dr. Seuss (my new obsession)!

The top picture is my circus crazy room decorated by next door teacher friend, Jaysa! It will be gone by the time your babies get here. The bottom picture is V-E-R-Y important. We will complete our 'Daily Data' every morning. This will consist of ABC's, 1-2-3's, colors, shapes, charting, and more.

Keep in mind all of this is a work in progress. Within the next week you should receive a letter in the mail that directs you to this blog. Like I mentioned earlier I hope you love this concept of following your child's growth as much as I do. I can post pictures of students as soon as I have their photo/media release form.

Thank you so much for trusting me with your child. We are looking forward to a great year!
