Week 5 Families/Grandparents/Ants

I hope everyone enjoyed their 3 day weekend, I know I did! Very thankful that the much needed rain brought us cooler weather, I LOVE FALL!!!!!

I love fall scents in any form/fashion! Thank you Caroline for your sweet FALL gift :)

This weeks topic: Family with an emphasis on Grandparents! Our grandparents day program is right around the corner and we hope you can join us in the fun. (Be practicing those songs at home) Our monthly theme is ANTS!

Art activities for the week include making ants and family trees. For science, I'm not sure what Ms. Annie has up her sleeve but I'm sure it will be great. As for math I really want to focus on number recognition and one-to-one correspondence. After reading your child's homework note (found in their cubby) you will see that this week starts our one letter one number cycle. From now until we reach the end of the alphabet students are responsible for making a letter poster. It is very similar to the "All About Me" posters that went in their portfolios...If you have any questions you know were to find me :)

Our Tuesday in pictures...

Ms. Kaley got a puppy!!! He is a Labmaraner(Weimador) (Labraraner)... basically he is a weimaraner labrador mix. And 100% cuteness!

His name is Mack and when he is not snuggled under my desk you can find him ....

HERE! :)

He ought to sleep well tonight... at least I hope so. ; - )
Now this is what you call HANDS ON learning! He may just be our classroom pet this year.Thank you for allowing me to work with your precious angel everyday. They are such a joy!
