Science: Ants

Dr. Wymer Ant Presentation from Kaley Hayden on Vimeo.
*Warning the quality is a little shake-y... I guess this is because I used my phone. Next time I will use my camera*

How precious is that? THANK YOU DR. WYMER! This guy is fabulous. I actually had the privilege of having him as a professor in my undergraduate Environmental  Science class. Unlike some of my other classes this one was a joy to attend. Dr. Wymer is so passionate about his job and for that I am forever grateful. He is also practical and very genuine. Thank you so much for volunteering your time today.

Not Your Typical Tuesday

This is definitely NOT what you would see in our classroom on a normal Tuesday however, today was different. We now have a group of foreign exchange students that will come once a month and teacher our kids Chinese. We are beyond thrilled. Today our new friends taught us how to say goodbye/hello/good morning and how to count to five. The kids were a little apprehensive at first but I think they are going to love it.

Here is one of the very few pictures I was able to take last night at the Grandparents Program. It was a TREMENDOUS success so much so we ran out of chairs :-O Yay for grandparents we really do appreciate all that you do. Thanks for coming out!

You've Got Mail!

Well maybe not you but, your child will : - ) I used to LOVE getting mail from my teachers. I guess it was the fact that they thought of me outside of the school environment? I'm really not sure but I can still remember the feeling of excitement when I got a card in the mail whether it was from my teacher or not. Anyway, I wanted to start randomly sending these to my students SO if one pops up in your mailbox, you know where it came from! Hope all of you are having a wonderful Wednesday
