Week 3 Summary

We went to Lake LU!

For two reasons.... #1 We are talking about animals #2 We are reading a chapter book series. We average one book a week. In the book are two characters, Jack and Annie. Jack carries a notebook on ALL of their adventures and takes notes. We wanted to be like Jack!

We brought our Pizza with us for a picnic

Our science journals

We saw minnows!

We were hoping to feed the ducks but they never came :(

So we just fed the minnows instead :)

I was so impressed by their observations and how intrigued  they were

We found shells!

We saw tadpoles!

How do you spell tadpole? :)

Precious PRECIOUS Kiddos

 We had SO much fun at the Lake. I'm hoping we can do this more often. The kids went above and beyond what I anticipated. We were probably at the Lake for an hour and within that amount of time they were, writing, spelling, observing, drawing, counting, running, and the list could go on. Lots of learning took place!

Look who was the first to sign their name on the "I can tie my shoes" Poster :) So proud of him!

We learned about graphing information using SKITTLES!

Library Time

Ms. Ross is our librarian. The kids go to library 3 days a week and on Tuesday's and Thursday's they check out new books. We love Ms. Ross


We also made DINOSAUR Eggs! I found this on pinterest. Such a good idea. Only it ended about like every pinterest project I try.... FAIL! I'm not sure what went wrong? Although in the end it didn't matter because all these munchkins wanted to do was get their hands DIRTY and that we did.
