I type that with a very heavy heart and a lump in my throat. {On a personal note, I lost my closest grandmother this May. The grandmother I spent weeks at a time with in the summer. The grandmother that let me eat rice crispy treat cereal with half and half milk for breakfast. The grandmother that let me stay up late, drink yahoo's, and eat chewy chips ahoy cookies. The one who always listened to me. The grandmother who took me shopping and never complained. She was the fun one. The grandmother who was ALWAYS, always, there for me. The one who never missed a special occasion for me or any of my siblings.} With this said, my grandmother did what every grandparent does, she poured out an unconditional love that I will never forget. If you've ever lost a grandmother/grandfather you know what I am talking about.
I am so happy to say that every student in my room had someone to hug today! That is incredible. I even had one student who's grandparents came all the way from Wisconsin!!!! Cherish your loved ones and tell them how much you love them every day!
[Sorry this is such a depressing post. Spoke from the heart.]
In other, happy, news I do believe we will make record sales for our book fair. We have had a wonderful turn out this week. Keep it coming! Also, our class is currently WINNING the One for One books contest so keep the spare change rolling in : )
