I'm sure you've already heard about our PENNY PROJECT! We have begun The Hundred Penny Box by Sharon Bell Mathis. This is our newest "Chapter Book" that we read from daily. Alongside our reading buddies from Dr. Minear's class we are working on a penny timeline project. We are asking every student to bring in a penny from the year they were born to the present year. For example most of my students were born in 2007 so they would bring in six pennies; one from 2007, one from 2008, one from 2009, one from 2010, one from 2011, and one from 2012. Make sense? I hope so. If not let me know and I will elaborate a little more.
